So a neighbour gave me a rooster and 2 hens (all young still). The girls should start laying in September, Spring time for us and the rooster doesnt have spurs yet. Not sure if that is an indication of his youth at all. Our bantam rooster, The Leader Of The Pack, decided he woud park off on top of the cage I transported the trio in, crowing NON STOP to show that he is the alpha male... I bet that will change once Big guy is out of the coop that we made for him to stay in for 10-14 days. As long as Choocks stays out of Henry's way, he shoud be ok right? How silly does this look...

These chickens ARE GIGANTIC! I am used to bantams only!

I let them out this afternoon when the bantams had gone to their coop.

They loved being free! Happy with the dogs, peacocks and my 3 silver sebright babies and my dutch baby.

The male peacock jumped on him and they were a bit jittery. But luckily all are young and hopefully will fit in. we will see tomorrow.

I took a video of my bantam roo attacking the cage. What a laugh! He is gonna get a big fright in the morning.

Will keep you updated...
