Look at the little cutie that showed up at my place...NEW PICS

I also had a dog with food aggression, i did pretty much the same as fldiver97,

I also would give her little treats by hand through out the day, at first she would try to snap it out of my hand and try to take my hand with her, and i would say No, Soft, and i would rub around her mouth softly and say to her soft and hold the treat in front of her, after about a week, every time we gave her food or a treat we would still say soft, and it works, this way with giving her a treat from your hand she will see where her food is coming from and know that your hand is safe, that your giving her food and not trying to take it away,

She is a little cutie,

She is adorable. Kiddo's to you for taking care of her. I agree with the other poster who said Maltipoo.....she looks just like my nieces puppy.

Too funny! I have say, though, that if she is indeed a Maltipoo, it should immediately be changed to 'Maltipee", cos that's what she does best

Hmm. She might be food aggressive because she's been homeless for more than a few days. Poor cutie. Easy to break -- sit near her at first, then give her more tidbits while she's eating, then progress to tidbits and some petting, then some petting, etc.

Here's this morning's look with shampooing by not brushed as I haven't a brush soft enough for her.

I'm off to the vet with her in a couple of minutes. I can't put fliers in the country club but I can post a notice in the club house and security in this and surrounding country clubs have been alerted. I'm sure she's a local gal but her family may have gone north for the summer as most of the 'snowbirds' do around here.

Ugh food aggrssion, I went through that with my Malamute, he suddenly decided he needed to defend his food with his teeth and a rather nasty snarl.
broke it fast with a quick sit down and wait command.
before and still he wil take food from your hand and off a fork with the gentlest of touch but food bowl became and issue.
after a few firmly sitting him down and a wait command he got the message I wasnt putting up with his hyjinx. He is only 7 months old right now but he learned.
Now he sits back and waits for me to touch his head and say eat your breakfast or dinner .

Check with your local newspaper. Most will post found dog ads for free.
