Woman, I am going to take that camera!

Cause you always have the best pictures. Of course then I would have to kidnap you so you could teach me how to use it and I'm sort of slow with new technology.

Seriously, what sort of camera do you have?

The other Mary.

It is just my spare camera, the Canon Rebel XT. My "real" camera is the Canon Mark III 1D. I use it to shoot my grandson's ATV races.

Then clearly you have superior skills!

Apparently, they will be even more beautiful after their first molt. These lines must have cost a bomb.

You have got chicken fever REAL BAD, judging by your other posts!!!!!

Congratulations, chicken lady....

NO, they cost a BOMB-and-a HALF! Actually the six hens and two roos were $277.00 plus $60 for shipping. The last time GreenFireFarms offered a flock of only six birds total, they went for $300.00. So I got a better deal than that. He guaranteed at least four hens so I could have ended up with 4 roos. But he agreed to only send me two roos and six hens. The auction was for 8+ birds so he said he could include extras but they would be roos. I declined. In hindsight I probably should have taken them and kept them till they started crowing and then sold them. If I am going to breed birds, I wanted to make sure I start out with pure lines. So, I bought right from the source.

And yes, I have chicken fever real bad!

Mary

You did the right thing. How much money and TIME would you have spent raising mediocre birds to the quality you have right now? Congratulations!
