LOOK AT THIS CHICKEN~!

They really are something, I've seen a few at shows and you cant help but admire how impressive they are. I wouldn't want to go up against one in a fight!

They are HUGE and beefy, strong birds and just the look of their face is enough to scare me away! The roosters are supposed to be something nasty, too.

I forget who it is, but someone on here has a thread 'godzilla chicken' as they raise these. do a search for that and you'll find his...they are 3' tall. I agree w/the scares the be-jesses outta me.

I've seen them before. They are cute in a homely sort of way. I would like to get a hen and cross a Jersey Giant with it. Then I could have extremely tall gigantic muscular birds! Maybe they could chase the neighbor dogs away!

The first pic is actually a ko shamo, the bantam variety, the second pic is most likely an o shamo, (full sized version). Awesome birds with great personality. Nothing to be scared of, they are some of the coolest birds to have, more like dogs than chickens

I have a pair of O-Shamo, the rooster is about 10lbs and probably a little over 30 inches which makes him a little shorter than my 3 year old

They are actually very nice birds, extrememly friendly, at there size I guess there isn't much to be afraid of. We take ours on "walks" daily and they follow us around like dogs. They like to be petted and to eat from our hands and they don't seem to mind when the 3 year old tries to pick them up. It's really interesting but they are pretty much monogamous, the rooster doesn't chase other hens and they stay very close to each other, it's romantic. The eggs are about the same size maybe a little bigger than a RIR and a light brown color.
