Look at what I found today - Baby Opossums

A friend raised one, still in her house last I heard!

I heard they make good pets.

Poor thing. I'm glad you were able to save them. Hopefully they'll call soon and you can move em on..

I got them in the stock tank and they have hot water bottles and towels to snuggle in, so I think they'll be okay until tomorrow morning. They also had fleas, so I took a chance and put one drop of Advantage on them.

I have never seen baby opossums in real life. I do see the big adults often though.

I'd have to look it up but it seems like once they are around 5or 6 inches long from nose to butt.. I'll look it up if you'd like.

What are you going to feed them for the night?

It's been a while since I've messed with baby opossum... But I know they are very young when they are old enough to survive on their own. And much smaller than you'd think too. I'd have to look it up but it seems like once they are around 5or 6 inches long from nose to butt.. I'll look it up if you'd like.

I think these are 3 to 4 inches.

Ok... too small then to release. You could also look up local rehabers that take them. Should be able to find some online.
