Look at what I found today - Baby Opossums

Anyway, mother was a mess inside.

• Intestinal worms
• Stomach worms
• No food in stomach
• Very little feces in intestines
• light coating of blood in stomach
• Bloated intestines, some with blood.

Got them dropped off and necropsied the mother.

Eek! I would give them a flea bath with dawn! I have 2 baby squirrels (sadly mother died) that we are raising and they had fleas but dawn got rid of them! It’s very helpful giving them a flea bath

Teatree oil shampoo works the best, kills the flea larvae in the skin, too.

These babies were too young to bathe. Bathing them would have killed them.

I have horses, one of whom has had EPM. Twice. Baby possums grow up, and I'm not a fan. They haven't been so nice for the chickens, either.

I would never use a hammer on them... I have the perfect size barrel for them to practice deep sea diving in...
