Keets sure can give one a scare when they snooze.

I have to stare carefully at each one to make sure they're breathing!

These are the replacement keets for the ones that didn't make it due to shipping stress last week. There are 10 lavender and 10 purple. One lavender was DOA. 3 are in a different brooder getting specialized care, one of them already seems to have revived some.

    Got my fingers crossed.

can i just say they freak me right out when they sunbathe like that!!! i have to touch each one and check too!!

the best is when they fall asleep after eating their fill and it looks like they are going into a coma standing up.

well, it keeps us on our toes!

ETA...mine aren't keets, but they sure pull good fake outs too!

I would totally be freaking out if I saw that. I'd be afraid to touch them, expecting to find them cold. And then when I DID poke one, and it jumped up.. I'd jump outta my skin!
It amazing that they al sleep like that- especially with their little legs sticking straight out.
