LOOK! Poultry Standard of Perfection book!

You where not trolling. Nothing wrong with your post at all.

I would hope the comment was just poorly worded or interpreted wrong by those who read this thread.

Even though you are a Moderator, I have to disagree with your assessment that she was not Trolling. The post make it seem that the OP happened upon the Ebay auction and thought it was of interest i.e. "Gee folks look what I found, thought you might be interested".

That is much different than "hey guys I have this item for sale on Ebay, what do you all think", which the OP did not do.

I guess it is a question of symantics and wrong wording by the OP.

I think it's more a question of interpretation Lazy J. You interpretted it your way, but I perceived it by what she states in the auction listing - she found this book at an antique shop and listed it. It was a "find"...no big deal that she chose to post it here. It probably would have been better to post in Everything Else BST, but the post itself is not trolling.

I bought 2 recently; an 1875 & an 1879. Paid $10 each for them. Both are in excellent condition.
I saw a 1985 advertised awhile back on ABE for $1,000.00-doubt very much it sold for that. It's a used book so the right price is whatever you can get for it. $40 is neither a bargain nor an outrage.
