Ooh, egrets! Those guys sometimes hang around pastures, eating everything that the cows or horses scare up. They're kinda shorebirds, like herons, but snowy egrets in particular are also found looking for things stirred up by large herbivores.

They looked like they were looking for bugs in the mud!
Unfortunately we don't see a wide variety of birds around here, but I do enjoy reading about them!
