A Silkie baby? I wish I'd thought of putting a quarter next to the chick for a pic with my last batch of hatchlings! She's pretty.

I don't think its a silkie... No feathers on its feet. At least I can't see them...

Nobody has been able to tell me what the breed is. I actually think they are bantam Andalusians, but I got them at TSC, so it seems unlikely. The dad is black and the mom is splash, so depending on what this little baby blue turns out to look like, we should have a better idea of breed! lol. The parents are only about 1.5 lbs each full grown, so this is one tiny chick! They are smaller than silkies by quite a bit, but bigger than Dutch or Seramas.

They both have big white earlobes like a Mediterranean breed, though, but Minorcas don't come in splash or blue as far as I know, so they must be Andalusians, but likely poor quality. We'll see. My little mini roo is adorable whatever he is!
