Good for you. Beautiful snake too. I'm waiting for a neighbor or friend to find a baby copperhead. We plan to keep it right next to our Pygmy Rattlesnake.

Do the anti-vene makers still take milking donations? You know... they sink the fangs into a rubber topper over a lab cup and collect it?

It would be cool if you could contribute to that, if it's something that is done locally.

I know where everyone is coming from & take no offence.I know its a crazy pet to keep,but Im not a werido that will try to hold it.I fully know how dangerous this thing is. I do know I can build a safe way to keep him.Thats why I am making a long narrow cage.His heat pad will be at one end & water bowl at the other.I have a way to fill and clean it without reaching in his tank. I am from TEXAS and rattlesnakes are a symble of out state. I sure didnt want to kill it.

By all means, If you want to keep the snake, cool. I was just saying it wasn't my thing. I do think that there are alot of very pretty snakes. My neighbors up the road have a very large burmese python and it is pretty. They just don't need to ask me to babysit it for them, cause that ain't gonna happen!!
