At the lowes i work at we usually sell lumber 10 cents on the dollar for cull lumber and plywood most stores does this, best thing to do if you dont see it out front in the lumber end ask for the lumber manager to see if he has any that is culled then you can get them to give you a price you can also pick up concrete cheap also always check through out the store for what we call sos returns they will have a orange sticker on it saying sos return and should have a yellow price label ask about those as well 90 percent of the time you can get those cheap so i hope this helps some of you guys here is a few words to live by if you have the guts to ask all they can do is say yes or no but they cant eat ya

I got a $300 special order solid surface countertop for $25 like that... I love Lowes... I also obsess over the distressed plant racks. 90% of my garden came from nearly dead plants I got cheap at Lowes.

Never see any wood though, guess I've got to talk to them directly.

Hmmm, I think I will go visit Lowe's.....
Around here you can usually get some good lumber and materials free if you can dismantle the old buildings. Last nite on Craig's List I saw an entire 300 ft chicken house, complete with feeders, waterers etc for free if you dismantle it.
