Look what I got in the mail today---

anyone on here who - ships eggs will tell you to let them sit on the counter carton pointy side down for at least a night - it gives the air cell time to get settled

They actually only have to rest for a few hours but since the second box has not arrived they will be fine to rest overnight.

I have even let mine rest up to 48 hours and had excellent hatch rates. As long as you know they are shipped fresh and these were, a 24 hour rest will be fine.

well I am waiting on another box - and than after they rest everyone will be poped into the bator and my long 21 day wait will begin - at least it is not as bad as waiting for duck eggs to hatch - I never thought I would get through those 28-30 days it took.

thanks all for the great hatching vibes - I am going to need them LOL

Good hatch vibes!!!! One thing you might want to do is candle them before you put them in the bator. I didnt do that for a long time until I had one break open during the incubation time. I had to take all the eggs out and clean everything and then put them all back in. While putting the others back in I candled them and found 6 others that had hairline cracks. I didnt see them at all when I unwrapped them. Also you can check the air sacs to make sure they havnt been broke. If they are loose and there are little bubbles they are no good. They can look great on the outside and have been shaken all to heck on the inside. It sure saves space in the bator to check first. Jenn
