    We have three covies of quail that live in our creek. We have been looking for feeders/waterers that would work for them and that we didn't have to fill daily. I found this and am thinking that it would work for chickens also!!

    Its a good idea, but wouldn't it need to be a lot bigger for chickens?

    It hold 250lbs of feed and is designed for all size feed from grains to crunmbles like hen laying formula.

    I couldn't find how big it was on the link. Since the feeders are in the legs the birds have to walk underneath I assume..... It looks awfully short for a chicken, but it could just be the pictures. If a chicken could use it that might just be handy but i could totally see a huge jam up under there if you had more than a couple birds. Someone could get trompled......
