We did consider taking her w/ us to the vet to have her scanned, I know neither of the local vets have a scanner, but I use one that is in another town (an hour away). We put her in the garage before we left and she was already alittle nervous, I was afraid trying to load her up might have been to much right then. But I will probably take her in before putting her up for adoption.
We also already started thinking about trying to find a rescue to help place her, so I will be looking into that.
So far she's been really good in the house, she's seemed alittle timid about walking through doors at first, she's better now, she also followed me upstairs at bedtime and I'm pretty sure that was her first time going up stairs I had to help her down in the morning.
What's crazy to me is Danes are "my breed"! I own two, and don't know anyone else around here that has them, so it's suprising that she'd end up here of all places. I guess her instints told her this was a dane loving home! (and I've never had 3 danes in the house at the same time before). She's definately making herself at home, and I can already tell it's going to be hard to give her up! It was my older dane that we were taking to the vet, he's 9 and his age has started catching up to him this past year. If she'd come after he was gone (which I'm hoping won't be for another few years atleast), I'd probably have to keep her! But w/ two big dogs already I don't think I could afford a third (especially not after the latest vet bill)!
But here are a few more pics of her, taken yesterday when we were outside.
And we've been calling her Piper, which she already answers to!
