Look what showed up at my house!!!

I've rescued 3 last week 2 of them we found their owners the other one was a stray which is what I guesses from its long nails nasty long fur and it was missing an eye which a friend of mine took, and then our neighbor had a pug puppy dropped off on their front porch.

Man she is beautiful! I'd take her in if I were close enough to come get her! Ive always wanted a dane and she'd go perfect with my bullmastiff. Good job on the rescue, even if your home is only a temporary one.

You're not seeing things, she is spotted! I want to keep her, but I know I can't so once she's had time to find her owner, I'll put her up for adoption, and I'll let everyone here know in case anyone wants her. She's such a beautiful, sweet girl, and yesterday she was letting some of that goofy dane personality leak through!

mjsdhs I think Canada may have alittle trouble believing she's a min pin, but how conveincing are you? It's worth a try right?

It's amazing some of the really great dogs that get abandoned, dumped, and left at the pound. I use to rescue alot, not as much anymore, but I still can't leave an animal in a bad possition if I can help it. I'm glad so many here are willing to help a needy animal, alot are very adoptable, they just need alittle TLC. I picked up a dog from the pound the morning he was going to be put down, he was from what I could tell a cocker beagle cross, younger, neutered, and had apparently been a house dog. And would you believe someone stole him out of my yard? I rescued him to find a home, and already had someone coming to look at him, all these people needed to do was go to the pound and adopt him and instead they choose to steal him from someone else!

Ooo What a pretty girl! She's so lucky to have you caring for her. I'm sure you'll find her the perfect home if you can't find her original owners.

I agree that it isn't just big dogs being dumped. Three weeks back, a Shi'Tzu was dumped one street above ours. I was driving out to get my kids' at their jobs, & saw him laying right in a dip in the road, close to a bend where cars could fly around and squish the poor thing before they ever saw him. He seemed very calm, and friendly, so I got him in the car, and then after getting the kids, back to my house. He's never tried to leave the property since I brought him home. Oddly, he was washed & groomed not long before I found him, as he smelled like shampoo and he had a 'puppy cut', but he was too skinny - ate and drank like crazy once I got him a bowl of food and some water.

Called the police, the shelter & the dog wardens for both the city and county, but no one was looking for him. He fits in here OK, doesn't eat much and seems to get along with everyone so we decided to keep 'im.

Shame that people do that to animals.
