I think i read some where that u only see Luna moths before they die. The only ones I have seen around here are on their last legs er wings?. I've been thinking about trying to raise some. They are beautiful.

Here is the one that is in our barn right now. I spotted it Monday and it is still in the same spot. I have always wanted to see one and plan on mounting it once it dies.

I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid!

My daughter would love to see one of those, she loves moths!

How would I frame it? I plan on it. When they die they naturally dehydrate right?

Since I don't think too many people have ever seen one(I know I haven't) maybe you can donate it to a school science teacher. The kids will probably think it is "way cool".

About 3 weeks ago I found one on a tree out by the woods near our pond. I was with my daughter who (at 2) went CRAZY over the gorgeous butterfly! I hadn't seen one of these in probably 10 years at this point. They are quite pretty for moths. Are they endangered or something?!

I dont know how you would do it long term.
I always just stuck a needle in it.
