Us in PA like to scrap things, how much do u think it approx. weighs? i know steel is $10.00 for every 100 pounds. aluminum is around 65 cents a pound.

That must have been a REALLY heavy roo... If you look at his feet he looks like he was poured in a mold... He might be hollow... but still, that has to weigh at least a half ton!

It would be a real shame for him to get melted down...

I should have grabbed him and painted him like a giant RIR or something... He wold have looked excellent in my front yard!! Do you think they would have noticed? It wouldn't be too obvious right? I'm a whole half mile from where he used to be!

we had a 21 foot rocket stolen out of our front yard by "scrappers" when we where away for a weekend.
Most scrappers that do that are tweekers and will take anything to turn it in for scrap. BIG problem around here. When I saw the rooster that was the first thing I thought....had to be scrappers.

we have excess wire arround our buildings. People have asked to take it but we said no becasue we need it. But atleast no one has stole it yet.
