Look what wondered into my yard!!!!!!

It has been here for about 3 days now...... have no idea where it came from.

oh yea he is getting feed....... and he lets us get about 6 feet from him, just out of reach

does he have a no pick thing on his beak or is that just a leaf? If he's got a no pick thing on him i'd try to catchi him if you can he may starve if he isnt smart and stays around with you

If you didnt wanan keep him (if you catch him) im prety sure you can pullt he no pick thing off his beak and release him

. That is IF he does have a no pick thing on his beak, if he doesnt disreguard this lol!

They are native here. I have a bunch that hang out in my yard.... I love to hear them screech

We call them ditch parrots, that is where you see them the most as you are driving along.

we have 'em all around our place....This year they have seemed to show up in mass amounts....any given day I can probably count about 20-25 of them walking through the yard, pasture, around the birds, etc. etc....
They are pretty birds....

Just wish the 'grouss' would show up in those amounts...I hear them every day and see a few each day, but nothing like the pheasants....

He is beautiful!
I had one here years ago. He came and hung out with the hens for about 2 months. Then he disappeared.
