OK, I need some help. I just whipped these up and the dough is very crumbly.

I just went over the recipe again to double check that I added everything. The only ingredients for moisture are butter, eggs. and 3 tsp. of extracts....can you double check and see if something is missing??? Do yours ever come out crumbly? I can't even get it to stay together enough to drop onto a cookie sheet. Any suggestions as to what I should add perhaps? More egg? Thanks!

Oooo... Good to know before I ended up trying to whip up mass quantities of this with the girls Wed. night.

Maybe something is missing?

You did use 2 cups of butter, not 2 sticks, right?

I tried to "roll/ball" it but it left it uncooked inside. So I ended up "smash rolling" them at about 3/8" thick and they didn't rise, they widened. They are very good cookies but even the ''smash rolling'' is difficult. Hopefully the OP has some suggestions!

I got roughly 5 dozen out of it. The almond gives it an exceptional flavor!

Sorry you had trouble with the cookies. I have never had any problems. I use my Pampered Chef scoop and then just flatten them a little. They always turn out nice and round. I bake cookies at my job. 8- 10 dz. at a time.( big cookies) This is one recipe that never fails. At home or at work. Did you use a mixer? I don't think you could mix them by hand, that's the only reason I can think that they would be crumbly.

Please ignore that extra one I stuck in there before I baked them , not professional.
