Not sure if this is the right place to post this....I couldn't seem to decide on the right forum.
Admins, please excuse me if this was the wrong place and direct me to another?
I am looking for a chicken sitter from May-Nov for two ladies (now 7 weeks old). One Black Australorp and one Easter Egger. My husband and I have a house in Florida where we keep them but live in Toronto for the summer (we are working on dual citizenship so we can stay longer down south). I had a chicken/house sitter lined up for this year, but it fell through last minute:-( I’ve been toying with bringing them to Canada with us (it’s not THAT hard actually!) but we can’t keep them at our condo downtown Toronto. I was originally looking to see if someone in our area (Toronto and surrounding) could keep them so we could visit and be there for their first eggs or any emergencies….but then I thought I’d ask folks in the Buffalo area (close to the border) if they were interested, as it’s really not that far of a drive to visit AND we’d avoid the border hassles!
As you can tell, we are SUPER attached to them (especially myself) and I’m a bit of an over protective chicken mum (I have a crazy fort knox coop in Florida!). If anyone here would be interested, or know anyone who was, please let me know. We would pay for everything, food, bedding, and supply the coop and run (Bryan would build the run and put the coop in it) which would be yours to keep. Anyhoo, thought I’d throw it out there Contact me for more details!

and Welcome To BYC! You might try posting in the various state/country threads that are near where you are looking for a sitter for the best chance of reaching people in the area.
