Looking for a great hatchery, best deal at the best price!

You can try eFowl, StrombergsChickens.com, Cackle Hatchery and Murray McMurray Hatchery they should have the pullet chicks that you're looking for or you can order them from Ideal Hatchery and sell the roosters or for freezer camp.

Buying from a hatchery is more reliable, but lots more difficult. I had a whole order filled out, and it wasn't till September that they could fill most of my order but I would still have been missing a couple chicks..

You can also try checking your local feed store if they carry light brahma pullet chicks. That is how I discovered Hope she is my Buff Cochin pullet in a bin at my local feed store.

I checked out the ideal poultry site, I usually don't have trouble with websites, but that one drove me nuts trying to work my way around it. Im not saying i'll give up on it, I just gotta figure it out. I'm torn between meyer now.. I do believe in you get what you pay for. What is the shipping prices like on meyer and ideal?
Shipping prices from Ideal are a good deal cheaper than Meyer. One order I placed for eight chicks only cost a little over $28 with shipping and handling. Meyer, however, can cost up to the 50s for just four or five chicks (depending on where you live).

One bad thing about Ideal is that they have a habit of filling up there shipping boxes with a lot of extra males (called "packing peanuts"). So if you only wanted 6 chicks, you may wind up with 19 extra. Too many extras can result in the deaths of the chicks you want, in my opinion. You can call Ideal and ask them not to include extra males in the order, but their will be an extra fee for insurance, and it puts the chicks at an even greater risk than they would have had with all the extra males. The Post Office is not always gentle or wise in its handling of live poultry.
