Looking for a male saint bernard

She is a great mommy and very protective. Everything is well with all puppies and mom. Temps on mom and eating is normal. Mom is active. She nurses a lot. Puppies are gaining everyday....most puppies gain 1-3 ounces in a 24 hour period.

It does look that way....but those are the piggy rails. Instead of using pvc we used wood....and she cant lean all the way against the walls that way.

Thank you! I told hubby you thought so :) I have better pics of it....I will post here soon.

I thought the weight was a good gain on everyone.

The first few days I alternated half and half of the puppies and kept the off ones on the heating pad in a box like every 1-2 hours.

All puppies have been with her now for a few days and things seem to be going well.

Momma is still doing well too.

I am starting to get individual pics of everyone but hard cause the wont hold still even when my hubby holds them.

I am having a problem with what I mark them with. At first I was using ric rak according to some book. It has gotten messy at the ends coming apart. Some have fell off so I re-put something on them like ribbon and like but having trouble with that too.

What do you use to tell them apart or what should I use?

2 might of got mixed up when I was out of town this last Sunday to Monday visiting my mom again. Hubby was home with puppies and his girls came to visit. They were both boys and weigh the same so made our best guess

Outstanding. 1-3 ounces is normal and healthy weight gain for puppies. That is a nice box!

I use very thin ribbon, tied in a square knot with some of the ends left hanging out so it can easily be seen. In a larger litter sometimes I leave 1 M and 1 F unmarked.

Here is a picture of my pups with neck ribbons on.

I am slowly switching to the ribbon. I think it is better.

Also do your dams whine sometimes? I dont know what she wants when she does this.

Her is a couple better pics of her whelping box. I want to do a few things to it still. Like paint it, linoleum in the bottom and on sides, and handles on the outside to make carrying it easier.
