Looking for a male saint bernard

Lol it was a PT cruiser and we took out the back seats and made it flat. Also laid down a few blankets which helped catch the fluids/blood etc a bit.
yeah, the drop doesn't last long from what I know from my breeder friends. And it isn't a huge drop either.
I'm trying to picture a St Bernard in labor in the back seat of a car!

He has already gained 3 1/2 oz what a porker :)

No we dont need another dog. We have 6 already :)
Wow..that little male is a good sized pup!

Please tell me you have taken her to the vet for and exam and cleanout shot if necessary, and that you are continuing to keep a temperature shot.

IF you are not, and IF there is a retained puppy, she will become very ill, her milk will become poisonous to the puppies, they will have to be removed from her and hand raised, and she will require expensive treatment, possibly including spaying, or may even die.

This is important. Very important. Excuse this reminder if you've already done this and just not posted about it.

ALSO:

You should inspect each breast twice a day. Any gland that is hard, hot, or abnormally swollen or full must be expressed. Mastitis in dogs is a NASTY business. The breast can rupture, and the systemic infection can kill the *****, and also make the rest of her milk poison to the puppies.

The OPs mother has been very very ill..and had to have surgery. Shes been at the hospital with her mother..:(

Mothers trump yakking with us by a long chalk, too! Praying for her mother. Praying that the dogs continue to do well, so she will be able to focus on her mom and won't have anything else to worry her.

Sorry to make you all worry. I am watching mom really really close. I have an appt. tomorrow for her to go to vet. I keep calling my vet but they keep trying to talk me out of taking her there for an xray. Mom's temp has been normal (taking her temp x2 per day) and she is still eating. She having some anxiety today but everyday things have been stressful for all of us. I hope she will settle down. She has had some whimpering x2 today cant make up her mind on what to do.

Puppies were dew clawed today. No one could do her xray today. Yesterday gone out of town to bigger hospital to see my mom.

I really think she is done but I want to make sure. I dont think she would have 11 so fast and then just stop on last 1-2 but anything is possible I guess.

Last time I took her temp it was 102.3 and still considered normal but was never this high since I started taking it last Friday. I surely hope not on the rise.

Earlier today it was 101.4 and then 101.8 I am concerned but not overly worried.

The vet that did the dew claws said milking the puppies produces Oxycontin and thinks she would of passed it on her own by now. She is not lethargic at all either. She is also drinking well. Using bathroom well.

She does not seem to be stressing or pushing at all.

My normal vet re-looked at the xrays and they are now saying 11 but I think I will still take her in tomorrow to make sure. They had to take 2 xrays so they are overlapping them and may have counted wrong to begin with.

Puppies are doing great and maintaining or gaining weight.

My mom is gravely ill and has 5-20% chance of making it still hanging in there. Her surgery went well but not the sepcis she has. You can google it...it is pretty bad stuff. She is however still hanging in there and about the same....very critical condition. 100% life support. She is able to breath on her own but they are not making her now....they just checked.

She is on about 5 different blood pressure meds to keep it in the low state it is in. She is comma like (could have brain damage but unknown and not stable enough to get a cat scan at this time). She is having some kidney failure so they put her on a dialysis machine last night and the nurse said today that she thinks her kidneys will recovery fully they are more worried about her brain right now. Sepcis causes all the organs to shut down. She is massive amounts of antibiotics and still has about 20 white cell count. It would be ideal to have it at around 11.

I will post pics when I can.
