Looking for a male saint bernard

OH, SO glad all the others are doing good!!
Maybe the last one is just a little stubborn... crossing fingers.. :fl

How long has it been since the last? If she is not in active labor or distressed, then she is most likely just taking a nice long break.

Just to perhaps ease your mind a tad, mine went 4 and even 5 hours in between pups and they were all fine. And, this is probably a rarity, but my neighbours dog had a puppy almost a day later than the rest and it lived.

Yes lol....oh well we had blankets down which helped. I will get the rug doctor out tomorrow. I gotta do the couch any ways.

Her temp never dropped that I seen this am and did not want to leave her home alone.

I just thought of something..
Did she have the first pups in your new car you JUST bought?

They had 5 ties in a way on once each day for 5 days. Is it possible to have some another day because of that....like a second labor session?

I think she is either done or has a problem. I am leaning more towards just done. Why so back to back for 11 and then not the last one or two?

If nothing by tomorrow we will have another xray to make sure and I think the little ones can get dew claws done since we have to go anyways.

I will call and have them look at the xrays again first to make sure....there was 12 they seen.

They thought maybe 13 but def. 12 and more then one person counted and both got 12.

Aw they are adorable!

Well, *I* would not worry unless she is actively pushing without producing a puppy or seems in trouble. If she is just relaxing/resting than I would wait. What I did with mine was took a stethescope and listened (as it was a good 5 hours since the last) and I could hear another heart beat, so I knew that there was another in there. So perhaps you could try that if you have one. Another option is maybe just laying your hand on her stomach and feeling for kicks.

If your gut is telling you there is something wrong then I would call the vet.

As for the second labor question, I don't believe it is possible. I could be wrong, but considering there is only a short window of ovulation it wouldn't make sense to me. The eggs are ovulated, matured and if there is sperm present, they are fertilized and if not they die.

Thank you!

She seems done to me :)

I dont have a stethoscope and I did try feeling.

I will have them recount tomorrow and may do another xray tomorrow to make sure.

Here is 6 of them....I am taking turns with the 2 batches. First 6 get to nurse then the other 5 :) I think it is less stressful on mom and they all get to eat that way when their turn.
