Looking for a rooster in northwest Illinois

I lost my sweetheart yesterday. Still very much in the mourning process, but I need my hens to have a protector asap, since they aren't great at keeping an eye out for predators.

I am looking for a LARGE breed. Friendly, and not one that crows all day since I am in the suburbs. Crowing is natural, but some crow ALL day long and that won't fly with the neighbors.

My last one would crow about every couple hours.
