We're incubating some RLBW eggs, and think we only have 6 or 7 viable.
We'd like to improve our odds of ending up with 6-8 hens, so we thought perhaps we could buy a few day old pullets.
I've looked at Ideal, Mt Healthy and McMurray, but we'd have to order 10, 15 or 25.
We live in WI, so realize the cold weather could affect shipping a small number.
    Any ideas?
    thanks-

its going to cost a lot more to ship a few than it would getting say 25 and with small orders you dont get extra chicks eathier if some die during shipping or after they get to you as if you are willing to pay so much for just a few then they think you dont have room for more and send you the exact amount you ordered and its also not 100% gurenteed that you will get all pullets as well

Check your state thread to see if anyone local is breeding, or google local breeders.
