Looking for a sweet red rooster!

A fox got our New Hampshire Red rooster and we really miss him! I hand-raised him from day-old, so although he was fierce in protecting his hens, he could always be handled by anyone, including 5-year-old boys who regularly picked him up. I'm hoping to find another red rooster (because he was so pretty shining in the sun!) that will be equally docile with people.

I am near San Luis Obispo, so Norco is too far for me, too. I have a note out to a local woman that I used to buy eggs from, hopefully she will have a "spare" rooster.

i live near you but dont have any standard size roosters yet i only have bantam easter eggers.
