My family and I have been discussing going to VT for a mini vacation. My head is swimming with an overlode of options and now I am just confused. I was thinking that maybe someone here might know of a good place to focus my search. I am about 4-5 hours from Stratton if that helps. It must be lake front with a well stocked lake since that is the activity that I enjoy

I used to go with my DH but dont want to go back to those places with out him, so I am looking for someplace new.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a lake I shoud focus my searches on or a good site? some are very confusing.

Thanks

I've had some good luck with a website called cyberrentals. It's for people who have places for rent. The ads are pretty informative, with pictures and all. We found a great place in Cape Cod there one year.

Oh thanks guys I have been looking but there is almost too many lol I really like the second one that you posted Birch Run farm I am going to contact them. I also e-mailed a few other people but not knowing Vermont well it has been hard picking a good spot that is not to far away.

Did you look into Lake Bomoseen? We stayed ther once when I was a teenager. I remember the water was clean and cold and very deep.I would think that would be good for fishing. Also close to Rutland, and if you go around Labor day you can go to Rutland Fair, lots of fun!
