Looking for a Yearling Peahen in NGA area

I am looking for a Yearling Peahen near NGA. Lost my hen a couple of days ago (we think to internal injuries) I can't imagine my male going through the winter alone. They free range on our 100 acre farm and I am so worried he will take off without a mate. It will devastate me if we loose him too. He is India Blue about a year old. I am not that picky about the hens coloring just need a warm body for him.

Any leads on breeders or places to look would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Is it normal for people to only sell pairs? I can't find a single hen.

OK then will two males stick around together or will they eventually take off for mates? The males are beautiful and I really am not into breeding so two males would be fine for me.

I sale peahens , but alot don't want to sell off their peahens, but I do have a flight pen of extra males. You should be able to fine a single hen, just may need to pay more.

Bingo. Extra males can "stay around" for years while females usually sell out within weeks or months at most. BIG difference. I never sell females only if the numbers are equal.

If you really don't want them to breed & you like guineas.. get a couple young female guineas and keep them in with the males. Those will help keep the males around.. some guinea females will let peacocks breed them. And if they happen to make babies, no worries they're sterile. Male guineas can get in bad conflicts with peacocks though...

Other than that, if you keep looking and wait long enough, an available peahen will eventually show up.

All sellers in it have to produce they themselves and live in Georgia to advertise in it, so there's no weeding threw people form California in it, all locals.

Charles Hill in Commerce has some, Ray Watts and John Mason in Macon both have good numbers and variety.
As well as quit a few more... Those are 3 I personally know of and all have very good reputations and great birds.
There is also the
Georgia Game Bird Breeders Club too, with a website too, again loaded with breeders, but it is a national club based in Georgia, though has many Georgia breeders in it, Including the 3 I mentioned.
