Hello! First set of chickens for me.
Short version: Established happy flock of 6 (all just started laying in the last 1-2 weeks), one got injured - top of the order, maybe 2nd (crown a bit torn). Smelling blood, others began picking/pecking at her. I separated (others can see her) Taking 3 days to heal (I cleaned and applied antibiotic ointment). Planning to put her back in coop in evening, while all tuck in and adding a new roost for distraction. Any other ideas that might be helpful?
If they remain ruthlessly relentless (injuring her) should I remove her permanently? Any thoughts about what the line looks like between bullying & reestablishing pecking order and causing serious harm?
Thank you so much for any input!

Welcome to BYC @shanran

The others seeing blood can make things worse as it makes them peck at it more. They can become quite aggressive when blood is shown! Do you have any blue kote? This covers the blood up and does in general stop them pecking at “blood red“ wounds.
Don't have blue kote. Fairly minor wound that should be fine shortly, though the dried blood is still on her red crown.

No. They got a fright (by me coming around the corner unexpectedly) and flew everywhere. It happened then.
I see, okay!
I don't think you'll have much issues re-integrating her into the flock, as it hasn't been that long. Just make sure she get's healed up so the others won't peck at her.
Do you mind getting a picture of the wound?
