Looking for All Flock Feed

I also splurged and got the 50 pound bag of crushed oyster shell last time I went to TSC.

A 50lb bag seems like it lasts forever. And it never goes bad.

I wonder if alfalfa pellets would be OK for chickens?

That would be interesting to find out. I don't use the pellets or cubes cause I had a horse choke on both.

Mine weren't impressed with alfalfa cubes straight up or fermented. If you search the forums, though, you'll find that others' flocks like them a lot. Could be that I wasn't very persistent, mine usually have to get something new a few times before they decide they like it.

Do they sell it in pellet form? There’s more wasted feed with crumble.

Make a no waste feeder, problem solved.

I feed starter grower with os and crushed egg shells on tge side. My birds love Bar Ale and like it even more fermented.

Lots of people use Purina Flock Raiser.

Try seaching BYC for flock raiser and I'm sure you find hundreds of posts.
