Looking for Bantam Chicken Breeders

Hi! I am looking for a breeder or good hatchery to buy quality bantam chickens from come next spring. My experience with buying from many hatcheries is the birds are too large for the Standard of Perfection. Does anyone know of anywhere in the Midwest region with great bantams?? Thanks!

There aren't any great bantams from hatcheries. There are several hundred people who breed good bantams. Narrow your question. What breed/variety? If you want to buy from someone close to you what's your location?

There are hundreds of good bantam breeders out there and some sell eggs and chicks to people to get a start. Stay away from pretty magazines with ads or pictures in them as you are going to get run of the mill mutts which don't even hardly resemble the breeds you think you may want to own.

Tell us where you live and what breeds or styles you would like we can point you in the right direction. I have a book with about 80 percent of all the top breeders in them to get you in touch with. bob
