Oh, my--all this time I was thinking it was you! I have to look back through all my emails and figure this out, now.

Is there another BYCer named Sara who has BBS LF Ameraucanas?

ETA: But, YES, I would love black and lavender! We're getting a new incubator in the hopes of having actual SUCCESSFUL hatches. I'm tired of filling the incubator up, and getting MAYBE 3 chicks to hatch!

I think Dave could evaluate blown out eggs as well as he could intact ones. The fertility thing, hatchability after shipping, incubator error, plus no one feels like giving him a gigantic windfall of dozens of purebred CBM eggs from their darkest egg layers. Dave, you are asking for too much. I realize you need your hobby to pay for itself. I think this might not be the way. Hatch the eggs you get from the chickens you have, sell them on eggbid. Your hobby will pay for itself.

Hey Sara, check back with me late spring. I will know what I have as far as quality(hoping do have some Davis pullets to go with my cockerals) and color/type you will be looking for. I went to your website to see your araucana and didn't see a tab for them. What colors do you have? I have had the worst luck as far as cockerals, I think I have hatched about 90% cockerals so far from the araucana, 5 different breeders, go figure.....still waiting for the last batch to let me know if there are any girls.......

Plus, (and not that anyone here would be guilty of this) but if some unethical person were to know you would be evaluating every thing about their packing, shipping and chick quality etc, they -COULD- take extra care with every little thing they sent you, and send substandard eggs, substandardly packed, etc to other folks.

Restaraunt critics and people who evaluate wine, travel etc, all pay for anything they get and evaluate based on their being a 'common customer' and deciding how they get treated or how good the product is based on their anonymity. The only way to be sure of how the 'little guy' gets treated, is to pretend to be one yourself.

Now.. those people are often sponsored by someone rolling in the dough, so it's hard to do as a solo person... accepting free eggs to hatch, means what you get to evaluate would be suspect and your evaluations would be subject to questions of ethical rating.

As I said, this is not necessarily based on FACT, every single person involved could very well be totally honest, but John Doe reading it would have no way to judge that.

I'll have to look and see why the page isn't showing up. I have black hens and a kind of gold duckwing rooster. Oh and I have one white hen. I tend to hatch all cockerels too, so I can't seem to grow my flock

ah, I found it. The tab is missing off of your home page. After I visited one of the other links it was in the tab there. Well, you would have to send me girl eggs..........
