Yea, if you want big brahmas you're going to have to find an actually breeder not a hatchery

Yea chicks would be a problem...I don't know where you would find any grown ones. Just keep updating with Craigslist until some pop up
 
I love Brahmas to death but they have a really hard time in the heat. I don't know what part of Colorado you are in, but it's something to keep in mind. I live in temperate Western Washington and my girl had a rough time in Summer and nearly died of heat stroke. I really love the breed, but I would hesitate to get them again. My brother lives in Longmont, CO and I know it gets wicked hot there during Summer.
