Nikki, that is just amazing. She is so lucky to have found you. My computer took forever to download the second pic, so I was waiting waiting waiting. I just can't believe that's the same dog. She is just beautiful. I'll bet she loves you!

Kelsie's story has helped me help other people that take in severely abused animals.

It was about a 2 year battle to get her immune system strong again the first year of her life was hell for her. I later spoke to the neighbors of the people who had her her first year of life. The stories they told me were simply awful and they called animal control countless times but it wasn't until they were busted for selling drugs that she was pulled out of a crate in the back yard and brought in to be euthanised.

You should have seen my boyfriends face when I came walking in with her.

I had told him that we now had a dog. He wasn't to happy (didn't like dogs) and was expecting a fuzzy puppy. They immediately bonded and that played a crucial role in her recovery. He now carries a picture of her in his wallet and tells everyone to get a corgi because they are better than 'regular' dogs.

I hadn't planned on a dog and working with animals you get used to saying no to potential pets (other wise I'd have thousands of dogs and cats) But I could see her be put down after never being loved or even inside a house so I figured even if she didnt get better at least she would have felt loved.

Of course now she is a complete princess and wont stand to be treated like anything less.
