Looking for egg layers in South Central PA.

I've just ordered my first coop and am looking to purchase 4 egg layers. I would prefer to buy from a breeder or local hatchery but am having trouble finding anyone. I checked the directory here but it doesn't give anything more specific than state for the PA breeders and well, PA is huge lol. Specifically I would prefer birds with colorful eggs and friendly dispositions. They would need to be cold and heat tolerant. Is there anyone in my area with advice? Thanks a million!

There are state threads on here under Social “where am I, where are you”. States are listed under the sticky thread at top. Others in PA can help you.

you can search FB for farm pages near you. You might get some sources there. Go to your local farmers market and see if any of the farms have a few egg layers they want to sell.
