I would consider meyers in "Polk, OH" as well. They handled my drop shipped MPC order and I suspect their "CLIMATE" is closer to yours.

The heat tolerant breed I got from them isn't very heat tolerant so consider that to be a major criterion now in selecting hatchery stock.

I sure will post pictures! I ended up going with MyPetChicken after I found out their hatchery is in Ohio rather than Connecticut. They also told me they even ship to Hawaii, so I do feel lots better about it.

I am going to start breeding my ameracauna in the spring soon as a silky goes broody for me.. mine are lavender

I had Ameracaunas when I lived in Michigan - definitely one of my favorite breeds. I had blues, blacks, and mostly splash. I've never seen a lavender in person and sure would be interested once you get going. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone, for the quick and friendly responses! I ordered two of each: Brahmas, Polish, Ameracaunas, Orpingtons, Legbars, and one Sussex (that's all they had!), and a Brahma rooster to keep things in order.
