They are setting right now I will keep you posted and thank you so much again for your kindness. After the shippment I got from the hatchery over last weekend .... the temps dropped to single didgets and only one out of 26 made it.

I really was happy to get the eggs it made me and my kids happy. You are a very nice person for helping us out and the incubator has been steady for 4 days it has been doing great since I started the preparation for the eggs.

. I'm hoping for lots of cute little chicks for you all... those java babies are about the cutest things... well, then again, all little chicks are super cute!

Do you care about breed or is it just about the hatching? I know you've said you checked Craigslist but try this. Instead of looking for people selling hatching eggs on CL (rare), look for ads people post to sell eating eggs. Then call or email the seller and ask if they have a rooster. This is what I did and I had success on the third call. The lady was really nice and actually got right into it with me, spending time researching on the internet to find out the best ways to collect and store them for me to maximize chances of success. When she had 2 doz, she let me know and I picked them up from her. She also requested I call and let her know how the hatch went. The fun thing (in a way) was that we didn't know what we were going to get. It actually wasn't until they were hatching that it occurred to me I had NO idea what was going to pop out of those little eggs as in the excitement of finding someone with fertile eggs locally, I forgot to ask what breeds she had

I am giong to let them set for 8 hours and then pop them in, but we are under a wind advisery so I may wait untill morning. The advisery is over in about 2 hours. Just want to make sure no power outage again.
