I made an incubator and the kids want to hatch again well try....... out of 4 batches of eggs that I paid a good bit for we havent had much success only one acctually hatched so after new modifications I am willing to try for the kids sake.
Alot of the eggs were bought and shipped on ebay and were cracked some never developed. Just curious if anyone could give me a deal.
Thanks so much.

I'd recommend looking at your local Craig's List and see if you can find some eggs there. That way you won't have the shipping as a factor and can fine tune your incubating process before investing in more expensive eggs. Since only one egg hatched out of four batches you might have a problem with the incubator and/or the incubating process. Local eggs would be great!

Good luck!

Some people on here will send you free eggs if you pay for the shipping...all they want to do is test their ability to ship and send eggs....or their fertility?
Good Luck!!
I would send but I just got Hubby to let me start collecting my own eggs and fire up the bator!!

I have been checking craigslist for months and nothing. Our power went out the one time that is why there were no hatches that time. (it was out for 2 days)
and the other 3 of 6 eggs came cracked. I am in western PA. I only thought to give it another chance cause the incubator does very well, heat and humitity stay consistant. Also my 7 year old is begging me to and she does such a good job taking care of the chickens with me. The other times she even helped turn and candle the eggs.

I am willing to help and can send you some fertile eggs from my chickies

. I have Mottled Java's, Olive Eggers and Easter Eggers. I just separated my "breeds" out a few weeks ago so there may very well still be some crosses... so you could very well end up with a Mottled Olive Egger

Okay, well just send me a pm if you are interested and we can work out the details...

I have a 10 year old son in 4H and we love hatching eggs... so I totally feel for you!

I will send you a PM That is very kind of you to be willing to work with me. Oh the things we will do for our little ones. She will be so excited.

Ahhh, too bad, I missed a chance to help you but that's so nice about BYC, all the help we get and give each other! My daughter was in 4H but we didn't have poultry at that time, we were in a small subdivision. Best of luck hatching....and have a blessed day! Nancy

If you decide you want to try some duck eggs, my website is ZeaglerDuckFarm.com, just email me and in the subject box put BYC and you may have to refresh my memory on this conversation, (laughing), but my ducks, geese, turkey's and chickens will all be laying before long, and would be glad to help out those kiddies with there projects.

Turkey eggs would be intresting. I have been talking with my hubby about building me another coop and run.
