I've had mine about 7 months now I think. It's great I've had great hatches out of it. I love how easy it is to use. Plus I use aquarium tubing to add water so I don't even have to open it but twice to candle the eggs. Then to take the eggs out of the turner. I love it.

Seredipity I got my 1588 from cutlers supply just last week so what are you talking about? They do have the 1588s and they are much cheaper than any ohter site.

I cut the tubing long enough that I can open the lid without pulling the tubing out of the wire bottom. It works great and it nice not opening the bator everyday to add water.
