Chickynugs
In the Brooder
Hello All,
My partner and I have been wanting to raise hens, and had gotten 4 straight run chicks from someone local. We had gotten 2 Buff Orpingtons, a Lavender Oprington, and a Barnevelder. They're about 5 weeks old today, and aside from one Buff that looks to be showing clear signs of being a hen, the others have us thinknig they may be roosters, but perhaps it's still too early to tell. As we're in a city that doesn't allow roosters (our mistake for going with a straight run), we would like to know sooner than later if we have any roos so we can see about rehoming soon and getting additional hens. Any advice from the pics would be greatly appreciated, and will update as they continue to grow. I'll start with the Buff that looks to be showing signs of being a hen:
