Looking for ideas to make cleaning the coop easier

I like to thoroughly clean the coop with a hose & bleach.
Does anyone have ideas such as installing a trap door etc... to make this chore a little easier?

Well....you could cover the walls and floor with linoleum, but my suggestion is don't. There really is no need to clean a coup that thoroughly. I remember clearly how proud I was of our pretty little coup....all pink with white trim on the inside. A week later there was poop stains all over the lower part of the walls. It was then that I realized it was not practical to try and keep it looking like that on the inside. To each his own, more power to you if you want to try. It just seems like a fruitless effort. If you only have 3 or 4 chickens then maybe it would work out for you. I use the deep litter method and clean my coup twice a year. During those cleanings I scrape and large "deposits" off with a putty knife and then use a broom to get all the dust off the walls and ceiling. I clean out all of the old litter, sprinkle the linoleum floor with DE and then put down fresh pine litter. chickens really don't need a sterile environment. Good luck to you!

I agree with moetrout, to a point (sorry moetrout, no disrespect intended). I think it makes sense, particularly in an urban environment or a small coop, to make cleaning easy. I put a sheet of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) on the floor, and love it. That stuff is impervious to stains and nothing sticks to it. I just pull a wheelbarrow up to the door and scoop everything into it. I bought the panel at Home Depot.

I keep my coop and run very clean. It keeps the flies away. I scoop out poop 2-5 times a day and disinfect with oxine weekly, clean entire coop monthly. I clean the run daily.

I don't mind the work and it gives me time with my birds. . My coop is 9ft tall and run is 5ft tall, which both are easy access.

I have easy access to my coop and run so I just walk in and rake (litterally with a garden rake) everything out. Of course my chicks and ducks are only 2 months so the mess is not bad, once a day goes good, minimal smell. I dont have any laying boxes to clean yet but my idea is just change out the shavings once a week or as needed. Good Luck!!
