I'm having a small leg mite crisis. It took awhile to get the chickens cleared up, but the guineas appear to have them and have passed them back to the chickens. I can't get anywhere near the guineas to treat them and there's no way to ensure they stay out of the chicken run. I try to run them out when I see them in there, but guineas do what guineas want. They roost way too high for me to reach them. How do I treat these wild things?

I'll bet that guineas taste like chicken.
  3. Shut them in the chicken run & give them a box of medicated sand to dustbathe in? Think they'd go for it??

Could you put a box of medicated sand at the entrance of the run so they step in it? Not sure they'd get enough on them, but it might help.

Quote:I do know where their favourite dustbathing hole is. Maybe a little poultry dust will help things along. Thanks.
