I'm having a small leg mite crisis. It took awhile to get the chickens cleared up, but the guineas appear to have them and have passed them back to the chickens. I can't get anywhere near the guineas to treat them and there's no way to ensure they stay out of the chicken run. I try to run them out when I see them in there, but guineas do what guineas want. They roost way too high for me to reach them. How do I treat these wild things?

Shut them in the chicken run & give them a box of medicated sand to dustbathe in? Think they'd go for it??

Could you put a box of medicated sand at the entrance of the run so they step in it? Not sure they'd get enough on them, but it might help.

Actually they taste more like Pheasant & that's not a bad thing.

I do know where their favourite dustbathing hole is. Maybe a little poultry dust will help things along. Thanks.
