Okay, so about a month or two ago I got 10 laying hens for $5 dollars each. Now we come to why I need more and for that I give you my family eats 10 in one weekend and they even had to buy eggs before so I could sell... so anyways anyone with hens that just started laying to a year old I would be happy to buy them. Thank you for anyone who replies!!

Never try to pry off the scab. I would soak the poor things in warm epsom salt water for at least 15 minutes and continue doing this everyday. After you notice some decent changes you can try remove more of the scab at night so that the chicken is already half asleep

Sorry about your issues with sick hens.
I did have a few questions though
1- have you been anle to confirm that all 10 are activily laying eggs
2- and i know there are a lot of factors here but how many family members are you supplying and how many eggs.

The reasons i ask these 2 questions is i have 10 hens (1 is broody and sitting to hatch right now so only 9 laying) depending on the seasons and such I can get 4-5+ dozen eggs a week at thier peak and 1-2 dozen in the off season, I do not do coop lights or anything so most of them do take winter off.
My family has 5 people and though we don't eat eggs every day we use 1-2 dozen a week our selves, give 2 dozen ever 2 weeks to my mom and dad and about 1 dozen ever 2 weeks to my sister. Also occasionally giving 1-2 dozen to our neighbor and selling 5 dozen to my aunt. Believe me there are a lot of eggs to go around. And it concerns me that if you aren't getting enough eggs from 10 hens for at least 8-10 people either y'all eat a lot of eggs or your hens arent producing. Heck it's hot here and my girls are in a smaller coop then they are use to as we just moved 3 weeks ago and I'm not trying my normal 6-10 eggs a day, probably 4-6. But i kid you not my mom called early this week, maybe sat of last week to see if i had eggs and i had to tell her no as i just gave my last spare dozen to the neighbor not thinking my mom would need any yet. Here it is friday and i have over 3 dozen in the fridge.

If you aren't getting at least 5 eggs average a day right now you may need to address issues like health and stress before adding nor hens. Ideally during peak months you should be able to count on a 3/4 average for 10 hens that 7-8 eggs a day. Either check your girls for normal signs of laying or try to keep daily counts for a few weeks. If you have a mixed flock you might eventually be able to tell which are laying by their egg colors. I watch all 3 a they were coming back to production thus year I was regularly checking and comparing the laying signs to the colors I got and even the numbers I have 5 brown layers and 5 green layers with 3 of those 10 eggs being a shade or color that I can identify it to the exact hen.

But like I said every situation is different and maybe your family eats a lot more eggs then mine, but if that is the only issue that 10 hens just arent enough, try to figure out how much you do need to produce first. And estimate that at peak each hen will produce 5 a week (4-6)
5 dozen a week=60 eggs /5 eggs per hen should be about 12 hens

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't jump into more hens to fast if you don't need them. It's very easy to get overwhelmed by eggs especially if it turns out there was a simple health issue like worms slowing production, or a few hens that are younger or older then you where told, not giving hot a full could yet.
