Hi to all the cochins enthusiasts.After raising my first bantam cochins this year and buying a trio of MF's, I'd have to say they are by far my favorite chicken...and as my husband says, and he's not such a big chicken enthusiast, that these are the prettiest chickens he's ever seen.
I was lucky enough to hatch quite a few eggs from a couple of good breeders of Lemon Blues this year, in the bantam...I do have several red brown hens and one roo that I held back, if someone would like to exchange stock. I am lucky enough to have gotten one nice LB roo and hen, but actaully, she has some splash marks on her? So if anyone would like to do some exchanging, I am open to it.
The bigger question was, a friend of mine is now interested in the LF Lemon Blues after he's seen my bantams. He can get blue LF and if he could get some Red Browns or if he could get some of the LB's, he would like that. IS there anyone who has offspring available in those colors?
I also have a splash roo from the lemon blue hatch that has red coloring on his hackels, is this considered lemon splash? Or what color is that? I have kept him because his coloring is pretty darn nice. If someone needs one of this color, they can let me know.
I also have a black/mottled roo from Amy's MF breeding project. I hatched a few of her eggs from her MF's...his type is quite nice--why I've held onto him
, so he would also be available if someone were interested. All of these chicks were hatched in April but the black roo, he's March. I can get better pics of the splash roo...I was not trying to get one of him in this snap...But if it would help, I'll get a better one of him.
