Hey everyone, for my senior college project I have to do an Ethnography report on a subculture. Guess what I chose? The actual study does not start for another couple weeks but I'm trying to get a database of people I can contact. I'm looking for people from around the world, across age ranges, from owning chickens for 50 years to those who are just starting to plan their first coops. I'm also looking for people who are fighting or have fought for their town to allow chickens.

If possible, I would love to also get people from South Central, PA to the Baltimore Metro Area that may allow me to visit their setup for a day.

If you could please reply with a little about yourself and your chicken experience, it would be greatly appreciated. Please do not pm me right now unless you would like to keep your info private. This is a two month long project so I will be contacting people as I go along. Thank you everyone!

Sure, I'll participate. I'm in the bay area of California. We just got our first chickens in March of this year. We started with 2 Rhode Island Reds, then in July we got a Barred Plymouth Rock and a Buff Orpington. We just started getting eggs last month.

I will help if you're still looking for participants. I am from western Ohio and just started with chickens in June. We have a silkie who is laying, but broody, and my other girls aren't laying yet.
