I can not believe how some do the inside of the hen house. It looks more like a child's play room. I love it. I am not sure if I am going to be able to go that far, but I am going to do my best. After losing a chicken to a local dog I am going to really have to design something to keep them safe when I move.

I have the cutesy bantam house out in my backyard for looks and I really enjoy it when people come over (city folk) and marvel how clean and neat it is BUT the real chicken house looks nothing like it . My husband built on to the horse barn and made a 50ft X 20ft lean-to for my layers and it houses my layers / guineas . Not nearly as pretty and I don't take visitors there .
