Looking for Pullets ready to lay soon

[1st Coop Hen]

I have a laying Red Star and a laying Black star. I want to get more but don't want chicks. Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best place to get them?

I would suggest a local feed store or a tractor supply if you are not looking for show quality.

All they offer are day old chicks. I don't have the equipment to raise them and I don't want to wait 20-24 weeks either lol.

You might want to try posting on your state thread, somebody close to you might know where to get local birds. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread You can also post a Want ad in the Buy-Sell-Trade forum after you have 20 posts. You might check with your TSC or local feed stores if they have swap days, where people will bring their own birds to sell, also check their bulletin boards, and Craigslist.
